A same-name match can create a serious error. Spelling variants and aliases may also affect a result. If VINELink does not return the person, try the official agency identifier or contact the holding agency. A missing result does not prove release.

Okeechobee VINE Release Details
VINELink presents the fields supplied by a participating agency. Exact labels and continued search access can vary. A county jail result may show a current custody state and facility. A state record may carry a state identifier and a different set of details. After departure, a participating feed may change the status to released or out of custody, yet it may not show the full disposition or transfer destination needed to explain what occurred.

Still-in-custody and released searches answer separate questions. A live custody status concerns where the person is held now. A released status concerns the change reported by that agency.
